Export Collection to CSV
Igor Lanko
Hey Bogdan! This is a fair request. Rest assured, I've no plans on shutting Collecta down, but even if this happens, you'll definitely have a way to get all of your collections.
Of course, I also understand that you might want to move your artifacts somewhere else, and possibly you'd like to carry existing ones with you, so again, totally fair.
It's certainly possible, but the main challenge is probably with the images. It's easy to put things like page URLs, or text notes into a CSV table, but not so much with the actual media files. There're many ways to approach this I'd imagine, but not all of them are simple to implement right away.
Opened to suggestions!

Igor Lanko I also think this is important, both for backup/safety and for practical reasons. A couple of suggestions from the "competition". Mymind exports to a zip file, including all the images and a CSV file for notes and links. Dropmark exports as ZIP, JSON, CSV, and other formats. One nice thing is it allows to export by collection, which might be a nice feature for Collecta as well. Thanks!
