display doesn't auto-refresh

One behavior that is not necessarily a bug, but extremely annoying, is that the display does not update automatically - even when I interact with the interface.
After saving changes, adding new artifacts, or updating collections, the old view remains. A browser refresh is required to see updates, which is confusing.
I hope it will be possible to auto-refresh in the future to see the changes one made.

This should work much better now, I've been pushing various updates that should ensure artifact updates are visible right away.
Let's try to test this, there're definitely some specifics that might pop up here and there.
For example the collection updates are drastically improved.
Artifact caption I'm not 100% positive, there're still might be cases I need to investigate.

another case where the missing auto-refresh is confusing ...
I add a description to a bookmark artifact with a screenshot. → “Save” via the BACK button ⇒
When I now call up the artifact, the description field is empty - very confusing - you have to refresh the page to see the new description text.

Sven, thanks! Yeah this is a bug, for sure. I'll probably mark this separate though.
Basically there's a lot of situations where you need to manually make an update when the data is returned from the server so that you don't lose the scroll progress. I think this is just one of those unhandled scenarios.

I can only confirm that the cache is really bad, sometimes content is simply not displayed or missing.

anther case where Collecta is not auto-updating → adding a new collection
I added the collection "test2" to one of the artefacts and then searched for "test2" → no results

Sven, thanks! Yeah just noticed this recently too. Already planned: https://collecta.space/feedback/bugs/p/newly-created-collections-arent-visible-in-the-search.

I am using a Chromium based browser (Sidekick). If you think this makes a difference I can also test this on Chrome.
Igor Lanko
Sven, when interacting solely with the website, do you get the same behavior in Chrome as well by chance?

Igor Lanko
Yes - just tried some of the reported scenarios - same on Chrome
S
Sven
yes, when adding URLS via the Collecta website (and NOT via the extension) -> the site is updated
where it is not updated...
▪️ Adding bookmarks via extension (you already said this can be tricky)
▪️ Adding a bookmark via the Collecta page when a collection is “open”
▪️ Adding a note directly on the Collecta site
▪️ Change an existing note via Collecta site
Igor Lanko
Sven, if it is the browser, could you also let me know what browser and the version are you using? Thanks!

Thanks, Sven!
Could you please clarify, adding new artifacts, or updating collections—are you doing this while interacting with the website, or the browser extension?
Interacting with the website definitely shouldn't require to update the page. Extension is a bit different story at the moment.
Let me know!
